Your host is Dr. April Shapiro. She is an active member of Sigma Alpha Rho, oversees our new member onboarding, and is a retired Department Chairperson and Tenured Associate Professor with WVU School of Nursing. We will also have various members of the leadership team available during these sessions to engage and welcome you.

Save the Date! November 3, 2025, 5-8pm the Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau will host dinner for those staying at the Rosenbaum House in Morgantown, WV.
The Rosenbaum Family House is a "home away from home" located on the WVU Medicine campus in Morgantown, WV, providing comfortable and affordable temporary housing and support services for families receiving medical care at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Founded in 1999 by Hilda Rosenbaum, who experienced similar hardships while seeking treatment for her children, the RFH offers amenities like kitchens, laundry facilities, and a compassionate environment to families who travel 50 miles or more to receive treatment.

We look forward to having Student and Nurse Leader Members work together to serve through Sigma Alpha Rho.
Student Members can earn up to 25 volunteer hours with the Alpha Rho Chapter. We want YOU involved.
